After a couple of minor sizing changes from my original version of Deer&Doe's Sureau I came up with this breezy dress. It's made with a super lightweight cotton voile... and of course I chose to photograph myself in the coldest spot in the house on the coldest day of the winter season thus far in Baltimore. I will be daydreaming of these days whilst I wear my summer dress when it's 100F in August.
I made no major changes besides reducing the size from a 42/44 down to a 38/40. It's a little closer fitting then I was hoping for but I like it. The one thing I completely forgot to do was alter the neckline to make it fit better and more flat against me. I'm pretty sure I will sew this one again in another fabric yet, I love this simplicity of this garment and it works for me so nicely.
Bring on Spring. Can you tell I am over winter?
